Paul, the Octopus who "has" the answer.

Paul, the octopus who guessed the fate of the German soccer team against Spain and now says that Spain will be the next world champion has plenty of friends and also enemies around the world. Many want to eat it in traditional Spanish paella. But for me the message of this funny story is clear and simple: People are worried to know about their fate and they seek for security about future in "something". The old trick of divination gets into play to take advantage of people's fear to "destiny", which is an ancient fear that leads them even to believe in ridiculous acts like Paul the "psychic" octopus and many other insane habits.

The saddest part is that Europe, God's chosen continent to be the first station of the gospel to the whole world (Acts 16:9), the land of many of the most important evangelists in history of human kind is sinking deep down in divination. And I say this after seeing the chancellor of Germany, Mrs. Angela Merkel with sadness after the prediction of the cephalopod. Some people may think I am exaggerating and this is but a funny anecdote. The truth is that this is not a light matter, behind the veil of an innocent game Satan is working to confuse people and preparing them to put their faith in diviners and fortune-tellers.

I want to remind Europe and the whole world that the word of God says:

When you come to the land which Jehovah your God gives you, you shall not learn to do according to the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that uses divination, an observer of clouds, or a fortune-teller, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or one who calls to the dead. For all that do these things are an abomination to Jehovah. And because of these abominations Jehovah your God drives them out from before you. (Deu 18:9-12)

The crowds are looking for answers, well, Jesus said: However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth. For He shall not speak of Himself, but whatever He hears, He shall speak. And He will announce to you things to come. (Joh 16:13)

There are answers in God, seek God and run away from diviners and fortune-tellers. Put your faith in God and you will succeed in all your undertakings.
